i'm so excited! my sister-in-law is arriving from the UK today. she'll be visiting for a month and we're all super stoked to have her here!!

i've been busy with pottery for only 6 months now. i've made many disastrous looking objects but i quite fancy these two.

i love jhb country club

my husband's gran is a total jhb country club regular. she knows all the staff & each and every occasion is celebrated there. i just love how old-world it is. before my previous phone grew feet i took this pictures which i just love.

now this is what a picnic looks like when you have christel as a friend. no simba chips. no plastic coke bottles. when christel invites you for a picnic you cancel whatever else you had planned.

let's put a meeting in place

in our office we love having meetings. by we i mean my boss. i spend 50% of my working day preparing for meetings & the other 50% in them. so imagine my delight when i saw this picture which i envision as the best meeting in the history of time. i would just give little yelps of excitement if the cookie monster showed up at one of my meetings. one can only dream

odette matthee - an eloquent and effortless pirouette to victory. she knows no limitations.

being in the right place at the right time - my gran - either chris had a christmas father beard or he's enjoying a huge snow cone.

the wedding cake - both the bride & groom are impressed.

we thank you all for participation in the fouche wedding awards. to those who walk away empty handed today - we can only wish the best of luck for getting caught on camera at future weddings.

to show our appreciation to all participants we will now end off with a carefully rehearsed thank you dance.

home sweet home

after 6 months of renovations, searching for furniture, painting (with dumie the rouge painter who loves swinging the brush around. paint everywhere) and moving things around we are proud to present to you our little love nest

mr man

you've gotta love this guy. he is my rock (& roll). he listens to al my looooooong stories. he drives to the medi clinic at whatever hour for whatever reason. he sometimes slips me some petrol money. he inspires me to follow my heart. he teaches me to let go & move on. to grow. he loves me with all my funny things. he eats the food i cook & encourages me to cook more. he will drink wine with me before 12pm. he believes only good will come from my pottery classes. he's my best buddy. he's my lover. he's my husband. and i love him dearly.

our mother's day sermon was all about staying true to your word - about keeping your no no & yes yes... and about saying yes to life. i am all about positive thinking and the amazing things that happen to people who choose to see life in a positive light. the sermon ended on a high note - a snippet of a poet by my best of best - mr. e.e. cummings (love is a place)

cape town is lovely

we took cape town by storm last week on a business trip & stayed in the most lovely b&b - not even a minute's walk away is a proper pub where we met up with my awesome fashion friend - she had some super long story about her set of lost/stolen car keys - moral of the story don't buy a renault - keys need to be imported & this does not come cheap

we had dinner at davinci's on kloof street - lots of fun for pizzas & wine - did some window shopping pretty much everywhere we went - cape town has the most quaint little stores

i only took a few pics but thought they'd be fun to share

singing in the rain

today is just soooooooo gorgeous. enjoying the grey skies and dressing in winter woolies (well sort of winter woolies). plus sleeping next to my heater husband when it's chilly is so cosy. it's great weather for soup so i've started trying out chili potato soups, butternut, tomato. i'm loving all the window displays with think knits & ankle booties...things are just really awesome.
